CONFERENCE: "Free Software: for innovative business!"
SFScon (South Tyrol Free Software Conference) is the regular appointment with the International Conference on Free Software, which takes place each year in South Tyrol.

This year, too, we welcomed experts of international renown in South Tyrol, and have prepared a varied and intense program. This years speakers were Diedrich (Heise Zeitschriften Verlag (Germany), Senior editor Linux and Open Source), Simon Phipps (SUN Microsystems (USA), Chief Open Source Officer and Director Open Technologies Practice), Richard Schwerdtfeger (IBM (USA), Accessibility Architecture and Strategy for IBM Software), Stormy Peters (Gnome Foundation (USA), Executive Director), Josh Berkus (PostgreSQL Project (USA), Core Team), Walter Bender (Sugar Labs (USA), Founder). South Tyrol Software Award 2008
South Tyrol is an Italian region, a beloved destination for travellers from all over the world. Located at the heart of Europe and, therefore, historically at the crossroads of habits and customs, cultures and traditions, South Tyrol is a land of extraordinary beauty.
The numerous artistic-cultural treasures are there to be discovered and visited: towns, villages, churches, museums, castles, valleys, mountains, lakes and rivers. We can only recall the Dolomites (the sunset pink-tinged mountains), Ötzi (the ice man of five thousand years ago), typical gastronomy, traditional and innovative crafts, pristine nature and landscapes.
South Tyrol is a cosy and hospitable land that welcomes you most warmly!
